Best and Worst Dressed from MTV Movie Awards 2014

BEST

It's risky, it's daring - but, it's working. And sort-of goes with the whole badass divergent thing.

Keeping it classic. I like that.

So cute and classy - so spring! Very well done.

Very nice use of the LBD with a few edgy parts - Cutouts are big right now and the shoes are just right.

Best couple award goes to the host! He looks sharp as ever and she looks like a perfect side kick with her complimentary green number.

This almost made the bad list - its very short and very tight, but I forgave her because its Mtv and that's what it's all about.

Love this - Now, not only is it an extremely fun dress in itself - but with her body type, hairstyle, and skin tone? She rocks it!

One of my very favorites of the night - The laser cut details, the crisp white and the crop top match-y set is so 'right-now'.

Adorable. Love the details... adds a nice, fun touch to the sleeves - very trendy.

I'm not sure if he can do much wrong - he is undeniably handsome...and just incase you weren't watching...he took his shirt off on stage. Yum.

Love the polka-dot dress - its young, its flowy, its fun. And the pop of bright shoes was the perfect touch to Leslie's look.

I love this! From the colors, to the length of the dress - and the shoes. Effortless, classy, and fresh for spring.

Worst

She just looks like a cup of sherbet. I know pastels are in - but with the hair and skin tone - its the wrong color choice.

Another pastel gone wrong - Her dress is so slinky that it feels cheap - Dillard's much?

Do I really have to comment on this? I think this calls for a moment of silence.

Maybe I am prejeduce against pastels? Sure seems that way. This tight baby blue suit with a floral tie is wrong on so many levels.

Okay so I don't hate it. But we need to be honest - This is totally her bathrobe over a bathing suit.

What is going on here? I don't know what to look at! The awkward length of the dress? or the parole ankle cuffs around her huge platforms?

I went to a wedding last weekend. There was a Sammy David Jr. impersonator wedding singer there. He was wearing this.

I just don't like it.

I don't HATE what she is wearing - I HATE how she is standing, and that makes me HATE what she is wearing....

This is sloppy. And he looks like a big raincloud.

Seriously? Malibu Barbie?

Yuck and Yuck - this is boring, uncreative, tacky - and so 'them'.

Chic Politics

I had a political event to go to this past week and this is what I wore:

Jacket is from Target - but its from fall 2013 so I doubt it is still in stores (maybe sale rack?) Jeans are from American Eagle - I haven't been able to wrap my head around spending $80-$100 on jeans yet - so I'm sticking with AEO because they fit me best! These are the 'artist crop'.

Sorry for the lightening - it was a little off.

...and then there's the shoes - Got them on Just Fab for $20 - they are fabulous - so comfy!!

So Zara just knows how to work it. I have had a love obsession with their shoes for quite some time now - Although, I don't own nearly enough of them! [ Thank goodness I have a birthday coming up] They are always coming out with the sleekest designs and newest styles. I figured I would share some of the current beauties that are available online now! Shop Away!

My favorite color - I can never turn away from a green high heel - and this one is so classy!

MUST HAVE - wear to work, to play, to anywhere - nude matches with everything and the gold accents is so right now.

Another great mule - Notice the already broken look they are going for with the folded down back? That was done purposely to avoid the heel blister we all know too well.

Caged heels in cognac! I love!

What a classic heel - great for dates or girls night out.

It's a Print-On-Print Kind of Day!

Yay! It's Friday!! I'm sure everyone is feeling that way right about now. I have the most glorious weekend ahead- Tonight is my younger cousins confirmation - I am his sponsor (deeply honored!). Also, my grandparents are coming in town. Weee! On Saturday we have a surprise party for George (my cousin's grandpa) Shhh its a SURPRISE! Don't worry - I highly doubt he reads this blog ;)

I am keeping to the theme of Print Mixing in this post - here is my version of the trend! Striped nautical shorts and a floral tank! It's absolutely perfect on a hot summers day!
